Clay in the Hands of the Potter

Sylvia A. Howard

Sorry I’ve been away but I’ve been dealing with the “yuck” in my life. You know, the bitterness, the unkindness, the judging, just the plain and ugly sin. It’s hard work, painful, humbling, even humiliating but oh, is it worth it!

God loves it when we decide to deal with our yuck. When we allow the Holy Spirit to make us heart-sick over it, we are then able to give Him the clay idol we’ve molded ourselves into and say, “You do it.” Our sweet Father, the Master Potter, rubs His hands together and joyfully takes our fragile hearts of clay and tenderly begins to reshape us.

So, God is reshaping my heart and He wants to reshape yours but we’ve got to want to let go of the “yuck.” Let it go and let the Master Potter reshape your heart into something beautiful. He can’t wait to get started! ❤️

I go back and read this...and remind myself of these words...sometimes, once a day...and sometimes...I find myself thinking these words moment by moment.
