My Story

I don't have enough room to share my whole story but I will tell you that my story is the story God has written for me. I was saved during a 35-minute lunch break my junior year of high school when a substitute teacher (a local pastor's wife) shared the gospel with me. Three years later I met my pastor-husband, David, on a summer mission trip. Five years after that, we welcomed the joy of our lives, Michael, just a year before we became international missionaries to São Paulo, Brazil. After 8 years, we returned to the United States and I was a freelance writer for LifeWay Church Resources, Mosaic Magazine, and Discipleship Journal.

For the last 25 years, I've had the honor to teach and disciple women. These sweet women have challenged me to dig into God's Word and held me accountable. They encouraged me to begin writing my own material (see My Shop) and love me despite my oh, so many shortfalls! They are precious to me and I love them pieces! They are my inspiration to write, teach, and encourage women to find and fulfill God's call on their lives.
